Spotlight on Wedding Coordinators

Wedding Coordinators are often considered to have the best job going and we can’t disagree with that. So here we take a look a look at what part they actually play in the big day.

Here at Tern Hill Hall we have three Wedding Coordinators who are experienced in the planning and smooth running of weddings. It is likely that the first face you will see at the Hall is either one of the two Laura’s (not confusing at all!) or Niamh. We like to be the first to welcome you to the Hall to show you around and to find out what kind of day you are hoping for.

Once you have booked your wedding at the Hall we like to keep things consistent with the same Coordinator looking after you throughout the planning of your day. Your Coordinator is then your go-to person for anything wedding related and we are just at the end of phone or an email away to help in whatever way we can and trust us, no question is too daft! We can recommend suppliers that we have previously worked with, suggest suitable timings for the day, provide you with entertainment and décor ideas and just generally offer you advice based on our experience of running weddings.

Then there is the day itself.  Your Coordinator will ensure that every detail is seen to and everything is as you have planned. We liaise with your suppliers to ensure that they arrive on time and that they know their set up for the day. We also help to decorate the venue for you by putting out name place cards, favours, garden games, floral arrangements and any other decorations under your instruction should you wish us to. We liaise with the Registrars before a Civil Ceremony and take charge of all of the timings for the ceremony. We will also manage any recorded music you have for the ceremony so that you do not have to worry about a thing.

Discreetly behind the scenes we are keeping a careful eye on the timings of the day to ensure that you have plenty of time for photographs, maybe a receiving line, your speeches, first dance etc. We run the day leading a front of house team throughout your Wedding Breakfast and into the evening ensuring that you and your guests are well fed, well watered and well cared for. 

No Wedding Coordinator does the job for any other reason other than for how much they love their job. Pleasing people and striving to exceed expectations are inherent qualities in a great Coordinator. Nothing gives us more of a buzz than feeling like we have played our part in giving a couple the Wedding day of their dreams and their guests the best experience possible.
